Information Nights
Information nights will be held November 8,
2011 at 6 p.m.; January 18, 2012 at 6 p.m.;
and February 23, 2012 at 6 p.m. in Rooms 39
& 40.
Parents and students are welcome to attend to
learn about our school, meet some of the staff,
and ask questions.

Registration is Open for the 2012-2013 School

Mark West Charter School is open to all students. Inter-district
transfer requests are not required for admission. Parents
wishing to enroll their student for our 7th or 8th grade middle
school program or our K- 8th grade Independent Home School
program must complete the application packet and return it to
the school.
All applications received between now and March 1st will be
admitted to the school if space is available. If more
applications are received than the school can accommodate,
then a public random drawing in accordance with charter
directives will be held on March 14th to determine enrollment.
Applications received after March 1st will be accepted on a
first-come, first-served basis until all classes are filled.

Prospective students may spend a day on
campus shadowing a current student.

As of July 2011, for the 2011-2012 school year, all students entering the 7th
- 12th grade must show proof of immunization for the pertussis or
whooping cough booster (one dose of the vaccine on or after their 7th
birthday fulfills the requirement).
Any student who has not fulfilled the requirement, will not receive their
schedule for next year or be able to participate in any sports unless proof of
immunization is shown to a school staff member. There is a waiver that
may be signed but it is separate from the waiver already on the backside of
the blue immunization form. If a waiver is signed for a student, and they
come in contact with a student diagnosed with pertussis, they must be out
of school for 21 days.
